Building strong relationships
with NATURE
and EACH OTHER
About Us
WHO WE ARE
Forest Pals is a nature-based and arts-inspired program that provides children and
their families with meaningful connections to nature while building community.
Our programs include Waldorf-inspired parent-child playgroups (ages 1-5), nature-inspired homeschool enrichment (ages 6-18) and a music and arts nature program (ages 3-6).

We meet outdoors in all kinds of weather from September - May.

We are an inclusive and secular program.
Connection with Nature
Regular and meaningful time in nature isn't just fun, it has huge health benefits for Forest Pals of all ages. And children who connect deeply with nature are more likely to love and experience its health benefits for the rest of their lives. They are also more likely to become caretakers for the natural world that they know and love.
Community
Through regular social time with peers, music & arts experiences and mindfulness activities, we nurture a strong and healthy sense of community and of self.
Forest Pals families join in community events throughout the year, including a wintertime evening lantern walk and springtime family campout.
Play
Everybody loves to play! Homeschoolers and stay-at-home younger children can benefit from regular, generous and unstructured play with peers. Through play we develop imagination while learning about safe risk-taking, teamwork, self-awareness, how to be good leaders... the list goes on. At Forest Pals, we create space for this most important work of childhood.
Forest Pals operates at Bernheim Forest in Clermont, Kentucky.
We serve families from Louisville, Shepherdsville, Bardstown, Cox's Creek, Elizabethtown, Mt. Washington and surrounding areas.
